Structured Market Analysis
MarketScalpel's analytical framework is built around a proprietary time series database that compiles daily data on approximately 4,600 active, US-listed stocks, grouping them into 150 individual industry-groups organized under 10 top-level sectors.
Each sector is further segmented along companies’ geographical domicile – US, Non-US and All US-listed – for a total of 450 distinct sub-sectors with multiple levels of aggregation.
From this, a unique and streamlined package of comprehensive daily sector information is extracted covering breadth (e.g. issues and volume), our proprietary Money Flow analysis as well as market cap. weighted price indices with clean volume data. This integrated sector information is then analyzed and presented using an innovative combination of quantitative, statistical and cyclical analysis tools.
These have been developed by MarketScalpel drawing on the team's collective background in Asset Management, Investment Banking and Computer Science, in close collaboration with our clients to ensure relevance and accessibility.
